PHILADELPHIA UNIVERSITY SELECTS TRUMBA
TO INCREASE AWARENESS OF CAMPUS EVENTS
Trumba Connect Turns University’s Online Event Calendar
Into Effective Communications Vehicle for
Connecting with Students, Alumni, and Local Community
SEATTLE, WA, January 10, 2007 – Trumba Corporation, a developer of innovative event marketing technology, announced today that Philadelphia University has selected Trumba Connect to increase awareness of campus events and better connect and communicate with students, alumni, faculty, and staff. Trumba Connect allows organizations to effectively publish and promote events online and create an interactive, two-way communications vehicle between themselves and their customers.
Philadelphia University’s calendar features relevant information on exhibits, concerts, business programs, and important dates for students such as book buying, finals and review days, and seminars. Using Trumba Connect, faculty, alumni, and current and prospective students are able to add events to their personal calendars, set up reminders delivered via email or text message and email important events to family and friends.
“We needed a dynamic way to showcase upcoming events at Philadelphia University and Trumba Connect provided us with the advanced functionality to not just post events, but engage our users by making the event information interactive,” said Chris Davis, Director of Web Communications at Philadelphia University. “Trumba Connect also allowed us to seamlessly integrate the calendars with the University’s brand look and feel and customize the display of event information across our entire site.”
Using Trumba Connect, Philadelphia University can create numerous sub-calendars such as custom calendars for Student Activities, Athletics, and other University activities. It offers users the ability to integrate events into their Outlook calendars and allows the University to seamlessly integrate event information into their existing templates. It also provides the University’s web developers with easy-to-use administration tools and the flexibility to add custom information to events.
“Colleges and universities by their nature convey a sense of community and with Trumba Connect, Philadelphia University is turning its online event calendars into communication vehicles to better connect with its surrounding community,” said Jeremy Jaech, CEO of Trumba. “Visitors to the Philadelphia University web site can now easily find relevant event information throughout the year and become more engaged in campus activities.”
