ENTHUSIASM FOR ONLINE EVENT CALENDARING SOLUTIONS WITHIN HIGHER ED TRANSLATES TO EXPLOSIVE GROWTH FOR TRUMBA
Schools Continuing to Embrace Trumba Connect Solution Strengthens Campus-Community Bond through Interactive Online Communication of University Events
WASHINGTON, D.C., Campus Technology 2007, July 31, 2007 – As thousands convene this week at the Campus Technology 2007 conference to discuss the roadmap to IT leadership in the higher education market, this morning Trumba Corporation demonstrated its continuing contribution toward shaping this roadmap by announcing the addition of several more university deployments of its Trumba Connect solution.
Johns Hopkins University, New York University, Northwestern University, University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, and the University of Washington are among the many notable universities that were today joined by the addition of the University of Missouri Rolla, York University (Toronto), St Mary’s Seminary & University, Saddleback College, Howard Community College, and North Georgia College and State University as the latest institutions to leverage Trumba Connect to publish and promote events across their campus communities. Trumba Connect is an online event calendaring solution that helps colleges and universities increase event awareness and attendance by better connecting them with their campus communities through a comprehensive suite of tools that includes a hosted, interactive web calendar, email, and reporting services.
Trumba-powered calendars feature relevant information about campus events ranging from concerts, sports activities, and theater performances, to department meetings, alumni gatherings, and community outreach programs. Using Trumba Connect, visitors to the universities’ web sites can easily add events to their personal calendars, set event reminders, arrange to be notified if events change, and more. They can also set up RSS feeds and subscribe to calendar emails so that information about new and updated events is delivered to them automatically.
“Trumba Connect is gaining recognition as the solution of choice for schools seeking to better connect their campus communities by leveraging the importance and draw of university events,” said Jeremy Jaech, CEO of Trumba. “Our solution has seen such success in this market because it offers a very clear value proposition to all stakeholders in the university system.”
“Every university group, whether a department, club, class or team, brings people together for one reason or another and these groups recognize that Trumba Connect is a great way to help them communicate their specific events, while also allowing them to share event information across other groups,” continued Jaech.
Trumba Connect allows universities to fully integrate the online event calendars with a look and feel that is consistent with their own brand. In addition, universities can protect calendars related to internal operations behind passwords or secure URLs.
