Updates URL parameter

The updates parameter is an optional parameter that can be:

  • Included in the url argument in the $Trumba.addSpud() method.
  • Appended to the trumbaEmbed parameter in a URL-encoded query string.

Application

In calendar views that support update icons, shows or hides icons on updated events.

The default update icons are shown in the images that follow. You can also upload custom update icons.

How do I upload custom icons?

New event update icon

An asterisk indicates a new event.

Field change update icon and underline

An exclamation point and dashed underline indicate a change in the content of the underlined field. An exclamation point with no underlining generally means a change to the built-in Description field.

Time change update icon

A clock symbol with the date/time field underlined indicates an event time change (with or without a date change).

Tip Calendar views that DO NOT support update icons include Detail List-Date, Detail List-Description, Labeled List-Date, Labeled List-Description, Linear Grid, List by Month, Map, News, and Photo Events. Learn more about calendar views.

Displays update icons in the main calendar spud for events that have changed.

URL-encoded query string

In the main calendar spud at the base URL, hides update icons that had been set to show.

Tip %3D is the URL-encoded equals sign (=).
